Training in Audacity
It is not surprising that visually impaired people tend to be interested in audio. From short voice notes to lectures and meetings, audio recordings are often the easiest way of preserving information for later retrieval. The downside is that heavy use of audio recordings can result in hours of material which is difficult to access quickly. If this applies to you, you need audio editing software!
Audacity is a free application for Windows which enables you to import audio recordings of any kind for editing and processing, such as normalising, compression, equalisation and other effects. It is screen reader friendly despite being fully-featured and, for those interested in recording their own music, it is also a multitrack recorder.
Please contact us if you wish to arrange training in using Audacity with a screen reader.
